Copying CDs

Guys, I need to make a copy of the broodwars CD, anyone know how to go about this? I tried using roxio easy CD creator's CD copier...
I have only one drive, so normally (at least with music CDs) it copies the CD first, then ejects it, then I insert the blank and it burns it. But with BW, it goes through the copy stage then ejects the CD at the end and cancels the whole process.. I'm guessing that it's the stupid copyright protection or w/e.. anyone know how to bypass it? :evil:

Try "burning" it to an image (ISO), then burn the image to disc.

What iO said... you should rip it to an ISO first.

I don't remember if the SC discs had copy protection or not. I had a program that would tell you what protection scheme is used on the disc. I think it was CloneyXL or something like that. Then load up Alcohol 120% and pick that protection scheme and rip it to an image. Then just pick the same protection scheme when you burn it and it'll work just like the original.

There's also a way you can play SC or BW without the cd at all. It involves copying most of the cd to your drive, installing from that, and changing the registry to point to where you dumped the stuff. Just another option. Or again if you get Alcohol, you create a virtual CD drive, and mount the cd image right from your hard drive as if it was a cd.

or you could go somewhere like trinsic.org and see if they have a no-cd patch.
