Well I did it,

The ATI X800 Radian was not working, or was very unstable and my comp would hang on a regular basis. No way to be playing PvP or helping other players and have your stuff just reboot. Just does not cut it, and I been dealing with this for a year hopeing the Drivers for the SHIT ATI stuff would settle.

I went out and got a GForce 5500 OC 256 MRAM. $200. Then while I was at it, I picked up a LCD monitor, $499.99. Though the card would not fit in my comp at first, once in it was working before I even installed drivers for it. The little tab at the bottom of the face plate was too long and I had to cut it off to make it fit. Soon as I put that new vidio card in, the comp would not even recognize the ATI one.

After a weekend of playing, and no computer hanging, I think Im stable now.

i gotta upgrade my geforce 4 MX 440 (128mb) too.. anyone know where I can get cheap vid cards that are at least somewhat up to today's standards?
My main concern is that the path of neo won't run on my PC, and I really wanna play that game.. fucking 440 doesn't support shaders or some shit like that so whenever i try to load a game i just see a flashing white screen... with sound. *sigh*

I got a ATI 256MB X850 XT for $400 at my door, overnighted.

Lol that's cool. What did you use to cut the tab off the face plate? Was it paper or metal? I'm picturing Sckoarn with a grinder sanding that thing down but I refuse to believe you would use something like that on a 200 dollar video card. Congrats on the stable cpu.

Ok,
Here is more story.

First took me a bit to figgure it out. Then Im looking at it and wondering what the hell kind of Comp Case I got, the face plate looks like I remember them. All the while Im going, Fuck I do not want to take this back. So after trying to bend it back, the tab, so far back that it might fit, there were components in the way on the mother board. Now the face plate is bent. Ok lets take it off, and yes notice the board is just hanging in the slot, just won't do. So out to the garage to see what kind of tools I can find.

First straighten it out. Then put crimp marks with side cutters along the line I want to cut it off at. Then with a pair of pliers and the other cool plier like thing ment to hold nails, while you hammer, I proceed to use the old bind it again and again till it breaks method.

Looking at the cut\break it was not too bad so I didnt even file it.

Once all that delecate work was done, just reattached the face plate and it fit np.
