Ok,

To facilitate our getting together in GW I would like to start doing some specific things on specific nights.

Monday nights 7-930 EST PVP
Tuesday nights 7-930 EST Guild Missions.
Thursday nights 7-930 EST Guild Quests

3 days of the week is not too many to have plans. The other days do as you feel. These three days, if you are on during that time, please make an effort to participate in the designated activity.

The reason for this is because some like to have plans. It is nice to be able to plan to do something and have it happen. The days and activities are only a start, and could change as we need them too. Just need to start this so we can get together more with known activities for certain nights.

If you have any input regarding this idea, please post up in this thread.

Hope to see you all soon!

Mondays and Tuesdays are a no go for me. CS practices and CS matches usually fall on these days but I might be able to get an hour in on those two days. Thursday is fine.

whats the differences between quests and missions?

Missions are were you hit the start mission or what not and it progesses you into the game/new towns or whatnot. Quests are smaller and more local around the towns you get them in. That's kind of what I get from the 2. Now of course I'm not sure if a guild quest and guild mission are the same as what I'm thinking it is.

Yes,

As you stated Sylver, but as a guild we will try and help the other members progress by helping them with missions one day and quests another. There are not Quests or missions that I know of that are something that needs to be done by the guild as a whole.

If these days are not good we can change them, but will wait till we see how much participation we drum up. Thing about these kind of things is, that it is hard to get started, sometimes, but once started, it makes for regular planned gaming.

I do some game testing on Wed nights, untill that changes, I will not be able to make it on Wed nights.

I'm usually on alot but not in Vent. I do get on randomly tho. I should get in vent more but sometimes I like to play with loud music so then I can't hear the peeps in Vent chatting...

It was an attempt to get players together to do the things we need to do. Having a meeting day and time for specific activities is usually good. Our population is low, and on the nights that I have shown up to participate, there were none on. Guess the lack of activity of members, including myself has reduced my drive to be there.

We need more members. It is very hard to recrute in GW, and I am / was seemingly the only one recruting. Only to have 75% of those I invited leave. All because we are not big, So if you are not big you cant get members, so you cant get big, so you cant get members. I had hoped GNG members were going to get more active, but there is no consorted effort, and attendence is kinda random.

Maybe what is needed is a new leader, Any takers?

Hmmm

I think you are doing fine as a leader, Sckoarn.

I fear being in any kind of leadership position....

I have added a bunch of people to the guild, most of which are already GNG though....

If you dont mind me asking - why are we worried about making a large Guild? I think we are a pretty decent size, and I enjoy playing with the GNG. Just curious..

I use to lead an EQ guild on a PvP server, it was very active, and there was always someone on you could do things with or just say hello to.

GW is a PvP game, and in order to take full advantage of the game, it would be nice if we could compete in GvG and Team PvP. In order to do that, we need 8 players. Seeing that we rarely have 6+ players on, and some are not fully developed for PvP, we can not field a team.

I have found that those that play PvP HAVE to win. I have played in random teams before and had problems keeping players because we didnt win. Hence you get new players everytime you enter the areana. There is no talk of what went wrong, what could have been done better, and what was good about a battle. In other words, limited Learning from the XP. A guild team would stick together to work out the problems and practice as a team. Basicly learn how to play together for the best results.

If you have no members, you have none of the above.

oh ok. I get you now.

I would like to see the GNG do more PvP as well. I have done a few team arenas, only to pretty much get my ass handed to me. I enjoy random arena (of course) when I get a good team. I would have to say though, 9/10 - you get shafted with some people who dont know what they are doing... or just have their skills all set up wrong - or at least not as compatible with the other players.

I would like to say again, though, Sckoarn - I think you are doing a good job at being a leader. I feel as if I am in a 'leadership' position - being an officer and all - I am able to recruit anyone I see fit.

So, perhaps I will take a more active roll on recruiting? I just dont know how to 'get to know' people very well on Guild Wars... and I am afraid to let some one in who might end up being a jaggoffasaur...

I will try to make some of these meetings though - being I am taking less of an active roll in Counter-Strike.

sk, you're fine as our leader. theres no better person we have than you.

i think, personally, right now ive hit that period where the excitement that you get when you first play a new game is over. however, i am not finished. once i get my monk to level 20, il be all set for pvp.

Indeed. Not worries Sckoarn, you do fine. I play when I can, which is a few times a week, I may not be on when everyone else is. Since CAL has started I play a little more CS then I have been so it has cut into my GW time. But I'm still enjoying GW a lot, with my new characters I have been playing I'm understanding the game better and have became self efficient. I'll be on this evening to play my Monk more...

My schedule's been pretty hectic lately.
I wanted to know if these times still applied:

Monday nights 7-930 EST PVP
Tuesday nights 7-930 EST Guild Missions.
Thursday nights 7-930 EST Guild Quests

Or is it more or less 7-9:30 when were here?
Don't stress or fret, these things take time. You recruited me Skoarn, and thats all anyone should care about...

50% left till my first char hits 20, and starting my ascension missions.
Any tips for a ranger doppleganger?

Sckoarn

Yes,
Those time frames still apply

But if there is know one on at 7ish I may opt out to play something else that eve.

Otherwise, lets try and get together as a group and do some of the tougher missions. Thunderhead Keap for instance?
