Ok,
I had been avoiding playing my Monk in PvP, knowing you are a target, makes it less apealing. It works out that Monks are no less a target than the Mesmer I had been used to playing. The Mesmer is also a target, and I had been adjusting my skills to make it so I could stand a little longer. With the Mesmer I had included some Monk skills to make it so I could. Mark of Protection and Pacify is what I ended up with.
After some 15000 faction playing Mesmer, I decided to give the Monk a try. All I did was change out my Healing Seed for Remove Hex and went into the compatition areana. After 2 losses I got in a group that carried us to 7 rounds. All the healing skills I have developed over the past came into play, plus a couple more. I was amazed at how I could stand and heal the group even under attack .... most times. Only the very organized groups got me down. Played most of the day Saturday and some on Sunday, and had a blast.
Looking forward to some group PvP with guildies in the near future and new year.
