rules, online is fun, but without dedicated servers it sucks. nothing like starting out with a 50 some ping and ending up with 999. infinaty ward did a good job with the single player campain. but the online features for the 360 are shit. no game lobby, i cant just join up with friends, no nothing... just click and join and hope that you dont ping the fuck out.

Whats your gamertag Syndrome? I love my 360 and I can only hope that Live and all its outstanding features will improve. I just beat Need for Speed earlier today and I just picked up Dead or Alive 4. I'll be playing with some friends down in Florida over Live.

i would have to disagree with you on that one.
3 3.2 ghz processors
500 meg ati vid card.
this box is alot better than any pc out there for the price. the lack of games sorta sucks, but i run cod2 a steady frame rate. i didnt have to dl any patches and the load time is short.
now if you have the pc version i am sure you downloaded alot of patches and your frame rate jumps alot. not here buddy. solid frame rate and soild gaming. plus the best part of it...

Syndrome... I think you can play with your friends if you want... I dont think it has to be completely random but then again it might depend on the game. For DOA4, I created a game session and I could set how many players I wanted to allow. I could also set "reserve slots" for my friends. Then I used the guide button to view my friends list and invite people to join. Doing this, I was able to play online with just my friends and no pubs.
My gamertag is PriorityOvernyt. I'll add you to my friends list. Do you have any of the downloadable games? I've got the following:
Gauntlet
Bankshot Billiards 2
Geometry Wars
Outpost Kaloki X
Hexic
Zuma
Here is my gamer profile (http://live.xbox.com/member/PriorityOvernyt)

You can't compare specs like that. It has 3 PowerPC cores, which are a completely different architecture from Intel. And as of right now those 3 cores are a waste anyway because most games are not written for multithreading to take advantage of the 2 threads per core. At most you'll be using 1 or 2 threads for the game engine, and the rest for maybe some AV related processing. The 360 is still a waste of money for what it does.
And there are several projects right now to hack the 360. There's already a DVD ISO you can burn that boots. It's only a matter of time...

I can agree that the systems are getting better and becoming more compatible for online play but I'll never go back to using a controller over a mouse and keyboard. I'm also not going to drop $400 on a microsoft made console. I already put enough money into the company when I buy a computer. On top of all that. The Xbox games have no appeal for me, I could give a damn about the racing games and sport games and I only have a passing interest in adventure games. I'm very much a nintendo fan but haven't managed to play through a title in over 3 years, I just don't have the time. I truthfully don't have a great reason for not liking the consoles besides the fact I have to use a controller for FPS games, which is crap. If I was rich I'd buy em but I still don't think I'd have the time to play these games.

Complaints grow with Call of Duty 2 online for XBox360 (http://forums.xbox.com/745704/ShowPost.aspx)
submitted by ehavir 15 hours 57 minutes ago (via http://forums.xbox.com/745704/...)
Activision / Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 2 for the XBOX 360 is plagued with severe lag. The TrueSkill component in the game appears to be matching with random players. Activision initially blamed Microsoft's developer kit. Is the game patchable? An informal email and phone campaign is building.
