Ok football heads. Where are we at with predictions? This weekend there are some good games coming up.

I am looking forward to the Giants and Panthers game especially. I predict the Panthers by a touchdown or less. Like 21-17. I probably won't be able to see it though since it's home for NY.

Pitt vs Cinc looks good, too. I take the Steelers over the Bengals in a close, high scoring game.

The Redskins are going to trounce the phoney Buccaneers.

And the Patriots will barely beat Jacksonville.

Superbowl?

The Colts vs... well it doesn't matter who because the champs of SuperBowl Forty will be the Colts.

Well, so far my predictions are right on. NE stomped a far inferior team and the phoney Buc's lost. The Redskins didn't win on Saturday as much as the foolish Buc's lost the game.

Sunday's games look good- I wish I could watch the Giants game. That's saying a lot, too. I don't watch much sports I prefer participating but this game is probably going to be good. Eli is such a wild card to watch and I like "average" Delhomme. He struggles so well. If Panthers can contain Tiki they have a great chance, IMNSHO.

Wow, what a blow out by the panthers. Go Delhomme! He didn't help me a ton in FF but they are mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore. Last game, 44 points, now a shut out in post season. The divisional play offs should be fun. Carolina vs. Chicago that's a game I wouldn't mind having tickets to. New England and Denver too will tear it up. The other two games, I'm not sure how they will pan out. Blow outs maybe?

Just to firm up my predictions:

Seattle crushes Washington with furious anger and righteous force. And who doesn't enjoy watching the Redskins take the beatings they so richly deserve?

Denver loses to NE in a heartbreakingly close game. NE steps up and shows grace and class under pressure.

The Colts slowly wear the the Steelers down and easily win: Victory is in sight after the first possession by the Colts.

Carolina defeats next year's NFC champs in a close, exciting and low scoring game.

Well Seattle is victorious and the first 1/4 of my predictions are right on. Washington wasn't as thoroughly trounced as I thought but Seattle did quickly lose star performer Shaun Alexander. The score would have been much different if he hadn't got a concussion so early.

Sorry Tucky, but I must disagree.
Even without their star runningback the Seahawks easily beat Washington but if he had stayed around...it would have been pure pwnage. The skins were solid but averagely so. And against Seattles defense they rushed only 59 yards. The passing game didn't compensate with only 27 more throwing yards than Seattle. Washington's Defense had no sacks and no INT's.
Meanwhile, Seattle stepped up while down a man, and not just any man, and still managed to run 119 yards and throw 215 yards.
