however i dont like 99.9 percent of them either

they have the same agenda in many cases as the conservatives. they just have a different approach

clinton is certainly guilty of crimes against humanity. see rawanda. see sudan. see the corrupt goverenments that were defended and funded under clinton. he too assisted in upholding regimes that oppessed their people.

Liberalism, mostly associated with democrats but not always is loosely defined as a political belief with a "liberal" atttitude towards social policies and how our tax money is spent.

"Conservatives" are just the opposite. They espouse more "conservative" social policies and government approaches. Unfortunately, those in power right now are neither republicans or conservatives. Historically, conservatives don't like taxes, big government or having government in every aspect of your life. They also don't like huge government spending.

The reason that the two labels are becoming synonmous with political parties is because after the last Republican was caught and impeached for his crimes, (Nixon), the GOP started making all party members fall in line in a rigid and unforgiving manner. Since the '70s the slightest bit of party disloyalty resulted in extreme punishment from the GOP. As a result regular voters were forced more and more to vote "straight party ticket" instead of who you thought could do the better job. What I mean was, if you didn't vote all democrat or all republican one side would lose completely. The dems were slow to catch on to this but the republicans have mastered it and this practice is now at its zenith.

The republican party likes it this way bc it punishes free thinkers. As long as the sheeple vote en mass and as long as a few free thinkers vote with thier mind and not their party ticket the repubs will win. This, however, hasn't been for those in power to completely have their way. Bush has had an a repub majority in both houses of congress and hasn't been able to do all that he pleases - just most.

Here is some things that Liberals are for:

Civil Rights
Avoiding the slaughter of the innocent
Responsible taxation
Spending some money on social needs and not dumping the VAST majority of tax money into the military industrial complex because we sure get a lot out of that.
capturing Osama and making his ass pay
Honesty
clothing the naked, feeding the hungry and sheltering the poor
compassion
peace
translucent government
The "american" way


Liberals are against

running up a tremendous national debt AFTER starting with a positive balance
imprisoning people for no reason ESPECIALLY women and children
invading countries under false pretenses
torture All of it.
letting osama go free
wire tapping americans and then being smug about it
outing CIA agents as political pay back especially those who are looking for WMD's
Sending our troops into war unprepared
supplying no bid contracts to former companies of high ranking gov't officials
"protecting marriage" (from what exactly, allow 10% of the population to practice it? are they worried that "gays" might make the 50% divorce rate lower and thus make str8s look bad?)
discrimination against americans based on anything.
passing tax cuts for the rich while we are at war and running a huge defecit
A useless, wasteful, ultimately unwinnable and repressive war on drugs



One of my largest problems with the current gov't is that they aren't republican nor conservative. In anyway. Hope that answers ur question Bizzle
