You'll miss them when they are gone.

And they are Indigo, Indigoing, Indigone.

If this post is too long the best one is last so make sure to read that one, too.

Here's a little article about a cop who thinks "I know a lot of people are concerned about Big Brother, but my response to that is, if you are not doing anything wrong, why should you worry about it?"

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1110AP_Police_Cameras.html

And here's and article that answers his question. It's not the fact that power will be abused but the degree to which it can be and will be...

It's about some non-paid Homeland Security Idiots abusing the tiny, (like their penis'?), bit of power in Maryland.

No need to fret about Communist China's censorship - we plenty right here in GWB's america. You have the right to be republican, the right to be a Christian and the right to be a white male. LoL

Here's an article discussing Google's "resistance" to the US gov't - which I don't believe. Maybe it's true but w/e.

Yeah, google's voluntary censorship (read "antiamerican behavior" there) won't allow we american citizens to view that video.

Yet, other countries can see it just fine. Countries like Norway, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and others. But not here. Not in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

When you join the military what do you swear to do in the first few days of enlistment? I'm sincerely curious. Is it obey the Commander in chief or defend the constitution or both or more? I really don't know...

this past week the hearings are being held over the censorship of internet companies per government mandates.

The outcome will shape the future of censorhip laws and the governemnts roll in the "free press"/"free speech"

"I, __________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Google did censor certain things in its searches as per China's goverment, but the funny thing is that simply misspelling the words was enough to get around the restrictions. Like "tiananmen square" would be filtered but "tianennmen square" wouldn't be.

yeah, the first theyve done to restrict shit was the china google.

surprising.

thanks solomn.

If you all want to see that video just let me know. I have about 20 that are very similar including detonation of IEDs. All of it unclassified. The EOD techs don't even say anything that could get them in trouble either. Such as names or "stupid rag heads" or other racial slurs.

I don't even know why google would censor this type of video. All it shows is an explosion. No procedures, no tactics. It doesn't make sense.

As for the Washington Post article, I tend to take everything written in that paper with a grain of salt. (just like everything from Fox should be burned before it gets to your TV screen) But that is a gross misuse of power and makes the job of people activley fighting plots on our home soil much harder. Every abuse sets us back by six months. It's just proof of people not being properly trained as to what their jurisdiction really is.

*edit*

I'm not sure how I feel about the cameras. I can see mall parking lots and maybe outside apartment complexes for a crime deterant. Most malls I've been to in recent years already have cameras watching the parking lot so I don't see how this is different. Private residences... That's totally up to the owner of the residence. If they want to let people watch them while they go skinny dipping with their wives then that's up to them.
