INNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett died Monday, a day after suffering a stroke at his Arizona home, a spokeswoman for St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Scottsdale, Ariz., said.

The 44-year-old Puckett, who led the Twins to two World Series titles before his career was cut short by glaucoma, was stricken Sunday morning at his Arizona home.

Yea me too, he was old school. Todays players could learn a few things on how the game is meant to be played from Kirby.

He actually turned down more money from several other teams to stick it out with the team he loved, and hte people he loved, to help them win some games. That makes him one of the greatest atheltes of all time in my book.

man...my man kirby kicked it? that makes me sad. it's a good thing i didn't read this last night or i would have cried. That sucks. Great athlete. I remember having a couple of his baseball cards when i was a kid.

damn i remember puckett...that sucks man...Im glad hes in the Hall of Fame though...he deserves it..hell of an athelete for his time.!
