Well if you look at the numbers. 1Billion is like 1000 million.

So for 1000 trading days he can sell 1000000 shares a day. So for a bout 4 years non-stop he can sell 1,000,000 shares a day.

woudn't it be for 3 years... four years would be 1460. 460 million is big.

all 10% or greater stock holders of a publicly traded company have to list their stock sales for public record

want an idea of trends in a company? watch the trading of the executives

interesting stuff

although people like gates are making huge trades all the time so you have to look at patterns and be able to spot deviations from that pattern to make it useful info

There are only ~250 working days? Days that you can sell per year.

not just weekends but holidays too

and the equities (stock market) has different hours than the bond market and the commodities market esp. on holidays. The bond traders have it the best. They are always getting half days.

normal trading monday - friday is from 9:30 am to 4 pm

but there are also after hours trading for many securities
