I got an automatic.
Now before you go gash bashing let me say that
I had a stick for 6 years in Atlanta
lots of 24/7 traffic equals FUN for manuals.

and the GTI I got has the the DSG triptonsomething paddle shifting..its rather interesting to me: check this out http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=653872385&n=2

I gonna try tinting it next..then possibly dropping it a weee bit, maybe.

oh and, they didnt tell me it had a pinstripe already on it when they got it..so they said they would remove it if i wanted...i havent been so sure if i like it or not...anyh opinions?

Well to be honest I drove his auto and it was still alot of fun. With the paddle shifters that work perfectly and the special gear that takes it all the way to redline you really cant find a better auto. Your gonna love it man if you go to any VW owners club meets my brother goes to em. I dont know if your into that kinda thing though.

Congrats on your purchase man! I am actually keeping my eye on the new R32...it may be a future purchase

Oh and the pinstripes are not bad....but I think you should remove them and get the smoked bumper lenses for the front end that my bro has. They look very nice!

ah german cars are the best. the only problem i have with the paddle shifting is if your really interested in tuning your car and doing a lot of aftermarket work...those transmissions have had bad and good reviews...only because not to many people make things for it. but i really dont think bizzle is gonna be stage 3 , 350+ hp with it so i think you made a good choice, hahah

There will be no ragging on the auto because you can shift the gears your self. Now if you got a straight automatic that would have been a different story...

nice ride

I do like the the addition on SNK bro's car.

Smokin'

I want a new ride but I have a zero interest loan on my cadi and that's hard to walk away from.

Besides what I would want is the v-8 6 speed manuel transmission CTS-V with a 400 hp engine and with the price of gas being what is and the fact that I drive A LOT.....its probably just not worth it
