View Full Version : Republican leadership

The big question is, when should Party leaders buck their constituents and when should they represent them?

Republican Party leaders are trying to build their base. Hispanic immigrants are natural Republicans. They’re religious, anti-abortion, anti-tax, and have strong family values. You won't see gay “rights” passed in Latin America. Entrepreneurship is valued. Many may not speak English but most are blue-collar with as many cars in their front yard as any redneck.

Reagan and the Bushes welcomed Hispanics because they recognize natural affiliations. But the base is afraid of a browner America.

Hispanics also see what Democrats have done to Black America. What other famous historical Party isolated a minority into ghettos? Blacks were once solidly Republican, but the base voted against civil rights. Churches were once the community center. Not today. Around 25% of AA males under 35 are in jails. Businessmen are sell-outs, unless you're in entertainment or sports. The Republican base shunned them and Democrats welcomed them.

Now there are few black Republicans. Due to leftist policies and right wing hate, blacks have integrated least in American society. If Republicans had stood up for them, I really think blacks would have been largely mainstreamed. A culture of victimization, encouraged by Democrat demagoguery wouldn’t have taken root.

The same thing is now happening with Hispanics. We’re going to let Democrats poison a whole new minority. They turned a 12% minority into alienated, dependent wards of the state. The Republican base will now let a 20% and growing minority be handed over to Democratic “leadership”. Hispanics may not be sucking much welfare now, but give it 10 years under the Dems. Great going brainiacs. The whole fucking lot of ya.

Every Republican I have spoken with is anti-immigrant. Let's not say "immigrant" let's say Hispanic, because that's what this is about. Scratch a Republican deep enough and you get a statement like, "I don't want my kids growing up speaking Spanish."

Unions fan those flames by saying immigrants lower wages. They also lower prices so ALL of us can afford to eat fresh fruits and veggies.

Anti-brownies say Hispanics aren't integrating. BS. My neighborhood has few native English speakers. If a neighbor doesn't speak English their children do. 2nd and 3rd generations convert to Protestant denominations in high numbers (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/29/AR2006042901027.html). In California the English language proposal was largely sponsored by Hispanics who didn’t want their children crippled.

Opponents say "they’re here illegally. We shouldn’t reward illegal behavior.” It’s high talk covering racism. Can you go a day without breaking some law? I sure can’t (sprinklers, driving). (That’s a whole ‘nother can of worms.) They're here to work, not drain welfare. The welfare issue is a false one. Illegals are scared of deportation so they avoid the system. They save us FAR more on our grocery bill than cost in services.

What bothers me is foreign flags waving. Being a free American proud of Hispanic decent is great, but if they’re so proud of being Mexican, they can rot in Mexico.
