They're blowing it out of proportion. We're capitalists. Reduce taxes on imports, reduce cost for consumers.

The only problem is that Mexico has such lax security and corrupt customs and police, it would affect our security. With Canada, no problem. Mexico, I wouldn't have a problem after they improved their system. If the author kept it at that point, I'd agree that things need a bit more consideration. But then he talks of "losing sovereignty" and other xenophobic issues which loses me.

He's probably one of those guys who talked of "blue hats" invading during the Clinton years. Interesting turn to see right-wingers using the unions. The right-wingers used to talk of annexing Mexico and Canada - even joking about it up to the 80's as some Manifest Destiny lite.
