If you cant watch the games at home, I found an english site that pipes the games online through a player, which costs 7.46 for one month of games, which includes all the english games we never get in the states as well as some asian channels and other misc. country TV.

France beat Brazil in the 98' WC right? That was the last world cup I have watched since now, I watched the Spain and Togo?(I know it was an African country) game the other day. And Spain played sloppy as hell until the very end. So I have a ton of confidence France will easily beat them.

Last game Spain played, they had ball possession over 75% of the game and were still down 1-0 until the last 30-45 minutes if I remember correctly, I shouldve taped that French game today :doubt:
But I have to admit I am starting to enjoy WC soccer a little. When they do make those odd man rushes at the net, it gets exciting. I am picking France to get to the finals :tongue:

Can France face Germany in the Finals? or do they have to play each other before then...I am still learning who's in what division...

yeah both games todasy sucked, i was surprised how bad the koreans played, they werent really aggressive.

yeah the german match should be good, and so should the match between Australia and Italy. Im rooting for the aussies just cause they are the zHUGE underdogs in the entire 16; should be a fun match for them.

The '98 game was a fluke I think. France played stellar defense but the Brazillians just weren't into the game, I don't know why. Brazil and most south american teams are highly aggressive and they just didn't bring it that game.

Here's some food for thought... Ghana over Brazil 1-0. Imagine the killings of officials afterwards!

The Koreans are a hot and cold team. They're either really on thier game or totally dead. It's rather annoying to watch them.

I really hope I can catch the aussie/italy match; should be pretty physical.

That was a nasty second half if you anyone watched, more yellow cards were given to one team (portugal) than any othee team in WC history today. The russian ref. fucked things up majorly (once again the reffing sucks) I think the refs arent getting paid enough and they are doing this shit on purpose!

The Portugal game yesterday was the worst officiated game I have ever seen in my life. I was happy when that train wreck was finally just finished.

The Italy / Australia game today was really good. The dive at the end did put a damper on the game overall though.

The cards the teams are getting now do carry through now. No more clean slates, so Portugal is going to be hurting when playing England.

The reason cards carry over is to make sure the weight of the penalty is felt. Otherwise I'd take down a guy on a break-away so he wouldn't score a game winning goal everytime. Any long time soccer player knows what penalties he should take for his team and what card he's going to get for it.

It was in the FINAL 2 minuteS of OVERTIME!
Pretty intense as italy made a fucking amazing goal.
Then one more a minute later just for shits & giggles.
Germany was devistated.

Overall, the game was pretty slow, lacking an abundance of shots; all until those last two minutes right before penalty kick time, where germany would have probably dominated!

italy shouldnt be here.. not the way they played against the US. they were lucky to get a tie in that game. when a team has 2 guys sent off with red cards and still gets shots on goal, its sad. but they played germany well... even though they got outplayed in that one as well.
