I don't think it's a comedy, I think it's "serious", like a big-budget "scary" movie, like "Anaconda: In The Air"

up until 1 minute ago when I wathced the trailer, i was mildly curious about this film. See, I thought it was a comedy and Sam Jackson + snakes + a plane +funny= maybe good. but that equation - funny = terrible.

I am sad that shit like this can even be made, what is going one with Hollywood?

Sadly, I don't think so. I saw a trailer for it at the theater like a week or two ago. I think it was a July release, so in the next couple of weeks it should be out.

but people will buy anything

guaranteed people will pay to go see it

doubt it will be a hit but im sure a many dumb asses will shell out their hard earned cash and waste precious hours of their lives to watch that crap.

It's one of those things where the movie is just so stupid that it creates so much hype and that's why it will be successful. It has nothing to do with whether the movie is actually any good. These days it's about how much time your movie gets in the media or, in other words, how much is spent on marketing.

In the case of Snakes On a Plane, very little has been spent on marketing so far. Almost all of the hype for this movie has been created by bloggers and the internet.

I think the movie will do ok in theatres just because of the "hype". Besides, who doesn't want to see some retarded movie about snakes on a plane? Once the video is released on DVD, it will tank.

Im pretty sure samuel L jackson knows it sucks, and the public does too. People will go see it to make fun of it, most of them being drunk. Also because Samuel L Jackson is a badass...thats another good reason.
