Apparently the tapes that were used to film the first and 5 other Apollo moon landings have gone missing.
Interestingly, they are supposedly much better quality than what the world saw then. Because that video transmission was incompatible with existing commercial TV technology, the footage shown to the world was from cameras in front of TV screens. They are trying to find the tapes because the only equipment that can play them is at Goddard space flight center which is closing soon.
If they can't find them, I'm sure that will give ammunition to the conspiracy nuts who don't believe we went there.
