I don't follow "celebrity" trials much, but this one always bothered me.

The media had constantly hinted and alleged that the family, esp the father, was guilty of raping and murdering their daughter. Imagine going through that!!! Every aspect of your family judged and degraded through the media. The mom having her daughter in beauty pageants was considered warped and twisted and in general all of the fucked up, nasty shit people said. I would love to put all of them under a microscope and broadcast their lives in the worst possible light. I hope the dad collected the newspaper clippings & video recordings and sues, sues, sues. Then donates the money to media watchdog groups.

Esp the incompetent detectives who kept leaking that info.

Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand’s immigration police, said by telephone that he was told Karr claimed he had drugged the child and sexually assaulted her. Karr said he then realized he had “accidentally” killed her, according to the general. Suwat did not say who briefed him on the questioning conducted by U.S. law enforcement officials.

An autopsy done a day after her body was found showed no drugs or alcohol in her system but said she had vaginal abrasions.

Easy tiger, I too want to see someone strung up in Town Square for doing this to an innocent little girl, but dont pointing fingers till anything is 100%. I have been a strong supporter of the parents as killers, and this may sway my opinion but doesnt change it.
It just seems strange this guy would wait 10 years than wake up one morning and have a conviction. I am not saying it isnt possible, but something smells fishy, I still dont trust the dad, I watched a documentary on this murder a year ago, and while it may have been biast.
It still gave some good insight on the parent's reaction and their strange actions. I am just saying I dont think this is even close to be clearcut. I hope I get proved wrong, but I dont think this guy did it, or if he did, he wasn't the only one involved

He could easily be doing it for media attention, maybe a place in the spotlight. Some people are that desperate.

He's not convicted yet, so nothing is decided. BUT, I hate the way people are crucified in the media. The media has no business reporting conjecture just like the security guard at the Olympic Games bombing in Atlanta. They ruined him.

This guy at least says he did it, but that's not as interesting as the family doing it.

Jesus knows who did it... that's all that matters.

or he could be setup by the family as a pawn to take the fall so they family could get away as the killers....think about that one.

I just heard on nightline that the guy claims he never said he drugged her.
