can someone explain the waiver thing to me. Who approves the waiver transactions? And next o my name on the league home page is a waiver #. Everyone has one... what is that about?

Best I can determine, waiver # is the opposite of the order in which we drew in the draft, i.e. if you were the first to draw in the draft, you would be last on the waiver list. I think the purpose is that if 2 people try to get the same guy on the same day, the guy who had it worse during the draft get's the guy.

either that way roach, or like in my sportsline league, its whomever is doing the shittiest gets first dibs on waivers and so on.

when you tried to get him, someone else tried the same day. Since he was a wiver, not a free agent, you didnt get him based on your waiver number. As far as teh waiver numbers go, its probably what roach or tuck said, based on who got screwed the mmost on draft day, or who is doing the worst overall in the season.

yes. Free Agents you can grab and will ahve them automatically. Waivers you have to wait until the waiver period is up (usually it will tell you when it will be up) and if someone else takes that waived player, and they have a better waiver number than you, they get the player, and you dont.

My waiver # is 4 and the Smashers is 10. So the higher the number the higher priority?

I sure hope my team get's it's shit together. It's nearly a quarter way through the season, and everything went to shit for the last couple of weeks. I made a the choice during the draft to go for an elite QB and elite RB's and wing it on the reciever corps, and so far, all of my choice short of Rudy Johnson have me worried and disappointed. Defense wise, I have some badass players,,,,but big points aren't made by the D players. The edge has been more negetively influenced by being on a mostly crappy team than I thought he would be, so he's not doing much and between Carson Palmers coming back from injury and the dumb fucking move of not playing Chris Henry, that's not working out so well either. I'm pretty much stuck with my pre season choices,,,,so I just have to adjust for the major bye's I have this coming week and hope for the best.
