GNG Fund Update

Thanks to everyone that has donated. Several people have sent in contributions over the last several weeks.

We have just paid for our 3 month subscription for the CS server. The charge was $287.

Our current balance is not $216 after payment.

I was wrong about the account balance for the GNG fund and I found out by getting an over drawn letter from the bank.

The GNG fund is in negative. The paypal account did not have enough money in it for the last payment so it drafted my bank account (seperate account I set for GNG) and overdrew me by $321.41

So as it stands we are negative about $102.

I will cover the cost this time but we need to consider that the fund is at a zero balance.

If we do not have $300 in the account by the next billing date then I will cancel the server.

I dont mind picking up some of the cost on this considering the fact that is my responsiblity and it was my own fault for not watching the balance more closely when the draft was due but I do greatly appreciate the support and it is all of our responsiblity to make sure we have the funds to keep up the services we have......or determine what changes need to be made if any.

The server is runnning $287 every three months

The annual costs of the host and such is something like $125 bucks give or take. Those fees are due by Jan 01

We need approximately another $300 in donations by January 1st to renew the public server and pay our annual dues for host and domain.

And the discussion for either downsizing or canceling the pub server.

We can also discuss taking the server down for a while and picking it back up again later.

It is definately our biggest expense.

The forums used to have ads. I have never added them back because I didnt think people liked them. That and the fact that we didn't actually make money off of them because people didnt click on em. We really don't have enough traffic here to make any kind of money off advertising. The only place the Google ads remain now is on the front page.

I say we put money towards paying Tucket back and let the server expire, until Team Fortress 2 comes out or some other good FPS. And I don't know if the private server is included into the costs for the regular one but that definitely needs to go if it is.

no one wants the servers to go away but we only have a few people contributing (thanks to everyone who does) and a lot of that is even sporadic

We need at bare minimum another 100 bucks in the next couple of weeks to buy another 3 month block for the pub

OK i have found a service I can use to post a sheet SHOWING amounts due and contributions made. As an accountant, customers never will give you their money without some sort of tangible item to show them, either that be an invoice, or a nasty letter from my attorney.

So if you wana hand the reigns over to me for the pub's Financial obligations I would take very good care and let things be seen for those who may be speculative as to the fund's goings and comings.

ok, I got the GNG bank account straightened out today.

It was short 48 bucks

So I paid it up. paid off the loan on the last server payment.....(by moving funds out of paypal a while back) and brought the account balance back to zero.

I also donated $100 to the paypal account to give it a boost.

But we are still shy of our next payment

BTW Bizzle, I need to get you the info on the servers as well. Just in case you need to make any adjustments to the subscription

Remaining balance is about $168, I believe.
