Thunder actually has a pretty cool AF job.
Speaking of which, do any of you guys know anything about the 1A jobs? I'm thining about switching AFSCs from a 2a. Flight engineer caught my eye. Unfortunatly i work backshop on c130 engines so i don't get to see much flightline action.
Next year i'll be eligable to deploy to the desert though so hopefully i'll get my shot.

Actually I'm editing every piece of footage that is going into the Pentagon celebration for the 60th anniversary on Oct 14th. Approximately 30,000 people will be seeing my work up on display, and I'm video taping the whole thing. Plus I've deployed twice for a nice short total of 10 months. 17 TDYs, 4 to hostile fire zones. Had arty come down on my position within 200 meters. Had RPG air burst hit the top of my hooch hard enough that I can hear shrapnel clanging around. Spent three weeks in the field with Army and Air Force Rangers doing training manuevers. Sat with ARMY widows while I went through thousands of pictures of their late husbands so they can rememeber them with a video. Been on one convoy through the middle of Kirkuk, Iraq so we could deliver school supplies to children.
I could go on, but I wouldn't want to seem like too much of a chair force ranger for you army folks. Grobes, I may be a nonner but I might just have a bit more flight time than you.

When was the last time we were deployed? Or went to the field for longer than 15 days, or not stayed in the barracks when we were in the field?

Jeez, and to think I spent all my time in either floating in the Pacific or chasing pussy all over the world. Every now and then we'd drive our tanks around and shoot off some 105 rounds,,,,,,,,,but I mostly spent my time fuckin' whores.
