I shop at Frys a lot around here and its great. Beserker loves it too and got me hooked on it. It's an upscale version of Best Buy. Appliances, PCs, software, TVs, consoles, media, car audio - the whole home electronics deal. Great prices with everything you want. Not just a little row of monitors, but whole aisles of monitors like Best Buy. The computer section alone is much bigger than a Comp USA store, although CUSA does have better software organization and Best Buy has better DVD and CD organization. Frys just looks like they threw them on the shelves.

As far as the refurb claim, I never had a problem with that. Maybe some kid opened a box and worked out a free upgrade. Maybe some dumb kid sales clerk just threw it back on the shelf. They're a good store with as good a reputation as any other big retailer.

outpost.com is Frys website

They lied (big surprise). It's 450 dollars for the bundle. Don't ever shop at Frys again!

Did they lie or did these 2nd-hand sources spread a rumor?

Multiple sources said multiple Frys representatives stated the bundle deal would be AS good or even better than the previous one. Believe what you want but it sounds like a bullshit publicity stunt to me. This story and deal were reported by many gaming sites.

i shop at frys, good store if u want to pay more than online. ie not wanting to wait for shipping etc

anyways the last deal i got from there was $45 for a desktop computer and im not talking an old 233mhz im talking a duo core intel processor hp computer with 2gb ram and a 200gb hd

i went in the store and they had it posted for that price... and many arguments later they sold it to me for the $95 with a $50 mail in rebate price from the original 1499 price it was supposed to be
