OK, I know this will seem a bit odd to those members already playing EVE since you have basicly been handed an established corp with perks.... But I've spent allot of time thinking and with the addition of Chick to the EVE community I feel we should have our own home.
To that end I have formed a new corp and will be funding this corp out of my pocket for at least the first few months. My first goal is to obtain BPO's for the most common Cruisers and Battleships so members won't have to go chasing copies. Also, I would like to say that this corp will be run by existing GNG members only. No one not already in the GNG will own shares or have any influence over our decisions. Anyone interested in talking about what's planned or having any questions can contact me ingame as Larynth. I have no intention by the way of running anything it will be a board run Corp I'm simply ponying up the cash to set it up.
Talk to you guys soon,
Matt

Interesting.
Perks? Handed?
I took over an abandoned Corp. The original members have all left sept for one. Currently most of the members are GNG or freinds of GNG members. The Corp that we took over is the Child Corp of another Older Corp. The X-FC members went back to the mother Corp. FC has very good ties with Mother Corp Dark Times Tech (DTT). In fact there are some possibilties in the future for some collaboration.
Our members do not have to find BPO's, the FC Corp gives and purchases BPO's from Mother Corp. Very good price and very good quality.
I must say I am rather supprised that you would start a Corp under the GNG banner without talking to the members that were already involved in Eve. I kind of feel left out. I have been waving the Eve banner for several months now tring to get more GNG involvement. But it seems you are already on the way and plans are set. All I can say is, good luck and I hope you have fun.

Personally, I find it silly to make a corp just to have the GNG tag if there is already an existing corp with most of the other GNG members that play Eve. Why "with the addition of Chick to the Eve community" does that mean you have to make your own. Why is it him that makes the difference. (NO offense, Chick, whatsoever) Why not just join the one that the rest of the GNG that plays Eve is already in? Sckoarn's been working hard for several months to get members for the Corp he has, and you just sort of waltz in after, like, forever, and decide to make a corp of your own. Yep, sounds silly to me. I thought clans promoted this thing called "Togetherness" or something.....

Why is everyone getting upset cause he made a corp named gng?
If ya dont want to join dont. It isnt like hes being rude or anything..
Talking to him he started a Corp instead of joining one because of shares.. Hopefully he will explain this better then I can..

Upset? Who is upset?
I am mearly commenting on the post.

Read the first line. Guess a reaction was not unexpected. I would replace the "bit odd" with something else though. I am not sure what you have gathered from the posts made by others, but it does seem all are in agreement on one thing, the first line of the quote.

Just so you know the only reason I suggested a corp of our own was the question of ownership of shares. If you guys own the shares to that corp then I missunderstood. So long as shares are out the founder of the corp can come back and issue a dividend and the money will go to the shareholders. I'm not suggesting this will happen but it could.
The thinking is that we should have ownership if our efforts are going to build this up.
And Just so you know Skoarn it wasn't personal and in no way was this a reflection on you I just had a whim and if no one thought it was a good idea then I was out a whoping 2 mil .... 15 min of work and a flight to find a place to set up a starting HQ.

No,
The Originator, when he left, handed everything over to the Corp. The originators have some shares still, but the majority has been retained by the Corp, and now me. Only one of the members, that was a member before I joined, is still with the Corp. I believe he has no intentions of leaving, and currently shares the running of the Corp.
I just started a vote to increase our share base to 1M. This will swamp out the other share holders, and enable our current members to have a REAL share of the Corp.

Sounds like you've got a fairly good handle on things, and that you guys have a good fledgling corp with some handy ties. Whenever you guys are ready to make a move to lower sec / 0.0 we should probably merge up. Logisticly that's not an option atm since we have some racial diversity amongst the people playing and mission agents would be a bit of a problem for some of us where you guys are located. Billy and some others are still at the stage where they need to concentrate on running missions to build faction while they get some skill points and isk built up.

Yes,
We are Caldari for the moment: factioning, mining and generally building our wallets. Also, building our BPO's (Blue Print Original) with several members working on thier collection. The Corp has several BPO and more than 300 standard item BP copies. We also have 6 players with Retrievers and a couple are half way to Coveter. Two members have jump clones, and I am very close to having one as well.
Your group, how many are there? What other GNG members do you have?
A merger in the future is a possibility. Currently, after talking with everyone, there is no real want to do this. For the reasons you stated and because I believe the current Corp members want to take a run and building something.

There are 4 of us ... All GNG .... We're all combat with the exception of Chick who for some odd reason wants to lick rocks (possibly because he's a noob  )
At any rate were trying to gear for a low sec/0.0 existance since that's where 90+% of the game content is. Chick is close to being in a BC and a Mining barge, Ghostpir8 is getting close to being in his Pilgrim. As soon as they get arround 4-5 million Skillpoints we're going to start looking for a home in 0.0. By then I should be close to having all T2 gear on a command ship and Hemlok should have all his skills maxed for the Raven. We're not planning on pirating just want to have something to offer an alliance so we can cary on our gameplay in 0.0
I'm not sure if you guys are at a point where you could survive in 0.0 but if nothing else when you do get ready you could come out in the deep end and join the same alliance. Nothing says we can't play together in seperate corps.
I'm thinking somewhere in the area of Sendaya YKE4-3 since we have friends out there in an alliance

You will make $$$ way faster mining than you will running missions. A 3 man mining op in 0.4 space can gross 1.5 mill each in a half an hour, after refining and selling the minerals. 2 miners and a hauler can make good ISK. Also need to mine if you want to build ships and weapons. I need to get back into this game. Soon I hope. I'm still dealing with the law so need to hang in RL a bit more than I would like. Good luck with the Corp.:xyxthumbs

The GNG guys you have, they have been playing Eve before, or for a while? Who are they?
Currently members are working on faction to get to Jump clones. Nearlly every member is a miner, or can mine with some profientcy. Im on the last leg of getting my Coveter. We are currently having problems doing level 4 missions, and figgure once we are able to do those we would be in a better possition to servive 0.0 space.
Undefined, lets hope you can get out from under soon.

I got a feeling I will be stuck in Eve for a while yet. We'zz just getting close to the good parts. Our little Corp now generates a good income, and the members seem to be having a good time.
