We've had a recent flair of people wanting to join our tight little group which is a good thing... as long as everyone knows what we're about. We have two resources that, while dated, will provide a good overview about us and what we're all about. Before you even consider asking for OUR consideration, please do everyone a favor and look over these two resources. For your convenience, I will provide direct links here:
GNG Key Facts (http://www.thegng.org/about/keyfacts.html)
GNG Policies (http://www.thegng.org/about/policies.html) (Please pay special attention to the "Have Fun" section)
We are all mature gamers for the most part (at least age wise ). Most of the regular GNG guys you see on the server and on the forums have been around for a couple of years at least. You'll notice on the key facts page it states that GNG was originally founded in 1991... that's 14 years ago. You will be hard pressed to find a gaming community that has its roots going back that far and is still around doing as well as we are.
You'll even notice that there is a "Gatherings (http://www.thegng.org/about/gatherings/index.html)" section where there are some pics of some of the various get togethers we have had. A lot of people might be thinking that these gatherings are a little "too hardcore" for them and they just really want to wear a clan tag and play on a server. Unfortunately, GNG is more than that to most of us, so if what you've read so far doesnt seem appealing, then this is probably not the place for you. While we would still welcome you on the server and in the forums, you would probably want to find another place to call "home".
If you are still interested then that's great! We love nothing more than bringing in fresh meat to sodomize! One final point that I would like to make is that this clan is fully sustained by the members. While we used to have a "council", issues rarely went to the members who sat on it. Most issues were discussed by the members and resolved by the members. The samething goes for finances. With the exception of one large anonymous donation, the server, website, and anything else that might be needed for our day to day operations (sounds like a thriving business!!) is fully supported by the members.
To sum it up: being a GNG member probably isnt the same as being part of any other clan. For the most part, all members have a voice here and it really is a great place to be.
I'm sure I'll have some stuff to add from myself or other GNG members but that just about sums it up.
