A friend called me yesterday about this when it was on the news. I laughed a little then died a little on the inside.

After doing some searching I came to the conclusion of what really happened in boston.

Most networks, bands, and etc setup promotion groups in town of random people who want to promote. Well the new Aqua Teen movie is coming out shortly so a few people threw some PC boards with LED lights together to resemble some Aquateen characters. These boards were put up in random places and lit up to show these characters. People saw them in wierd spots that could be "dangerous" to specific structures if in case they were bombs.

However, these things were in place for almost a week before anyone ever freaked out about it. The media in general has blown things way out of control. I like to think of the media as controlling the nation with fear just as our governemnt does at times.

The best part of the whole thing was seeing a mooninite with his middle finger up being considered a bomb. Good times.

We were watching it all day yesterday. People are idiots. Wizards first rule and all that. Up for a week and nothing then some moron freaks and causes the whole city to panic. The media coverage was so bad as well. "We don't have more info but here's a bomb expert from Tulsa and he can sure speculate the hell out of this..."

From what I heard this promotion was done in like 10 big cities across the country, and only Boston freaked out, blowing the things up with their bomb squad, bringing out helicopters, shutting down highways.
