The fresh new look of the site got me inspired to screw around. This is really just a "remix" of one of the default skins. I used it though, because the base colors matched the site pretty closely.

I've never done anything like this before, so there isn't really much change. Just a few icons, and colors. I have to learn about how to insert images etc.

So, I guess you could call this the GNG Steam Skin Beta 1.0

Thanks, but, um, eh...I don't even know why I posted this. It doesn't even say GNG on it anywhere. I was just excited that after fucking with it all weekend, I finally got something to work. I was having a hard time with the icons "smushing". Even though they were the same size as the ones they replaced.

Pretty cool man, any way to stick a GNG tag on there and set it up to be DL'd on a free skin site??

Yes there is, I just have to learn how. There's some actual coding involved. Although it appears pretty simple, it's still something I've never done.

You should write a tutorial or something as you go and we can put it up... it can be the first new piece of content on the site!

lol, I'll put it right up there with the SL8 project and the BF2142 sector.

But seriously, life is starting to get better for me, so I'll be able to focus on more important things like gaming, organizing a clan, and writing tutorials on skinning the Steam UI.

Actually, the Valve Developer Community has a tutorial on coding their (valves) UI's, but it's difficult for me to read since I have pretty much 0 understanding of alot of the things they write about.
