I'll start with the night pics. This is the first time I have ever shot fireworks and it was a huge cluster f&#k.
I should have used my wide angle instead of my 70-200mm and my shutter release wouldnt work. The fireworks were also much closer than I expected and coming from all directions (not a typical fireworks show).
Anyhow, these are the ones that at least came out. This is definately a technique I need more practice with.
More daytime Epcot pics to come

Those are nice pics but there aren't any of you with your man. Don't you let some tourists hold your camera and take your picture? WTF man.
Also, you can make your pictures a link so you dont need a text link under each one. I did it with your first pic so you could see.

Holy cow Sammie! Those don't even look real. I mean, the color and clarity, to me, are almost too vivid. Awesome pics! I love Disney World.

I don't think the fireworks ones look bad at all. I've only had 1 chance to shoot fireworks before too - it's not like the opportunity comes up every day to practice. The hardest part is the stray flares that seem to ruin the bursts. To me, I'd like to take a shot of just bursts. The corkscrews and the vertical slashes/ rockets rising for the next set of bursts seem to be distracting and all of my pics have them. I don't see how to escape them though unless you either get lucky or have the show memorized and timed.

No together pics. No way I was handing a stranger over 8 g's worth of camera. But I did get some pics of mark. I should also be able to get some pics from the professional photographer they had there that he took of us. Waiting on them to be posted up on his site.
Thanks for the info on the direct pic links. I'll give it a whirl.

too unreal? I want them to POP (color and sharpness) but I dont want them to look too unnatural either. feel free to be brutely honest. I want real feedback. I want to get better, not have my ego stroked. So plz be candid.

Thanks. I tried to do a little readinG up before shooting it but the entire thing was kind of a flop. Esp. since my wireless shutter release crapped out.
I was also expecting really high fireworks straignt into the sky, rather than close fireworks being shot from the left and the right of the horizon.
I've heard using a bulb and a blackcard can be helpful for multiple burst shots. Also nailing the first few fires is important b/c there isnt a huge amount of smoke yet.
more pics to come....of course

You still want a site to host them from?
I'll give you a website free of charge. All you have to do is bring your lazy butt over here and snap those pics of my rig....

The third (last) set looks alot more natural than the first. Did you do anything different compared to the first set?

Nah the keyboard was free... One of the keys stuck when I got it so I got another model for myself. Fixed this one and gave it to Bob

I have the black version of that without the extra pad, and I really like it. It's fairly low profile instead of raised toward the back, and it's lit around and through the keys instead of just around, so you see all of the keys even when it's dark.
