Sure, you may know most of it like ZoneAlarm and Firefox, but even still, it's a pretty comprehensive list, they're free, they've been screened to some degree and you might find something interesting which will save you a few bucks.

Yes, I just did finish ripping FOSS, but I'm not against saving a buck or 200.

For me, I'll use FileZilla, FreeProxy, Hamachi, Altiris Software Virtualization Solution, NetStumbler, Snort, and ConWare IconAr.

I've been using the Comodo Firewall. It seems to work very well, without many annoying pop-up alerts.

Sunbird is a great free calender App. GREAT way to print your schedule for the week for what you need to get done.
