Eve: Mining outing

The FC guys got together with the DTT crew. It was a mining Op in a secure system, Kino. FC has it's HQ there and the DTT guys made the many hop trip to come and mine with us. It was a great turn out, with 10 mining ships and a few ships running security. In 3 hours the group took down one and a half belts.

Was a great outing, good to see the fantasic turnout.

It was a learning experience for most of us. Gotta learn to watch them lasers. The can thief that showed up and got himself concorded was....priceless!

That was a real deal, JB. The total output in minerals was 85M isk, and FC payed half of that and got the whole nights output. We are pritty much set for base materials for a while cause of that.

Tuesday eve, tomorow, we are doing 0.4 sec space mining in Ignotton. In low sec space you do not want to take anything in that you are not willing to loose. It is expected we will get hit, and it is expected there will be some ships get blowed up.

You are welcome to join us, I willl be taking my Retriever. Also will be running a Jump Clone so I do not loose my implants if I get blowed up.

As for other Ops in Lower sec space, that is yet to come. The 0.4 sec space will be our practice grounds.

Has anyone showed you guys how to make "instas" (i.e. instant warps) yet?
Also making a safe spot for mining ops is a good way to avoid the rats as well.

You are way behind now. Everything is warp to zero, the waypoint is almost never used now.

Yes we are working with our Mother Corp DTT. They have several players that have been around for a while, they coach us and try to ensure we know the ropes.

We are not worried about Rats, its the players that will be our problem. I expect there to be full security with a group size of 10+ players.

Well, that was fun. After a late start, we managed to get into system and set up. Only a few miniuts after we got settled a guy warps in. He is wanted and has a low sec rating. The mining ships all warped out and the Security force took over. They poped him as he was begging to be let go. We all know if it were the other way he would just blow up all he could. After that we operated for 2 hours un-interrupted. In that time we stripped one belt of everything that was worth it.

That sounds awesome. Sounds like the corps are going pretty well. Seems like fun times. Did you all let him go? I wouldn't have agreed to that. JB is down for a bit, he decided to break his computer the other night.. heheh. He is coming up this Friday to visit so I shall have him up and running then.

You should take some screen shots of all the mining in progress. It will be amazing to see everyone working together since the last time I mined was with you, JB, and mark... =)

How do you rip someone's ship from their egg? What kind of ship did he have?

To take a ship off an egg, you use guns and missile launchers. The guns have bullets, the missile launchers have missiles. You launch and shoot till there is a slight explosion, this is the ship. All that is left is a 'can' holding what did not get destoryed, and the egg (pod) housing the pilot. We did not pod kill him, but made sure he did not come back in that ship :lol:

Not sure of the ship kind exactly, but I think it was a Battlecruiser.

Seeing that I run a cloaked ship, I could get some nice screen shots, I will try harder to remember to take them.
