Hello I didnt think this was the proper place to post this because I havent seen any other threads other then the one containing information about what to read before even attempting to apply. I think its great how the clan is split into Divisions and Teams aswell. Im 21,m,North Carolina. I make 3d design for cabinet companys, mill workers, and anyone in the wood working industry. I use $30,000 software called Microvellum to do this. So my PC is a very high-performance workstation PC. I love my work because I get to play video games the second I finish my drawings. Any other information about me you guys can feel free to ask. I believe If recruited I will bring a good sense of humor, fun gaming experiance, and good teamworking for the clan. And I'll be willing to offer any younger, less experianced players with a helping hand. THanks

Welcome Swift.
Just a note, we do not have younger members. 21 is as young as we go. We do not want to get in trouble for doing the young ones.
Though you are currently a CS kinda guy, I am sure some of the other activities the GNG'ers do will be attractive. Do not be afraid to step out of the CS world.

Thanks bro, ya I've played Starcraft, D2, WoW, W3, uhm... Ultima Online, TFC, DoD, and CS1.6, cs:s for PC and for xbox I like to play Fable, Halo, Destroy All Humans2, and some other little slice and dice type of games. CS:S is just so beautiful when you're running HighDef on 22inches of LCD. I cant get over the smooth gfx. I used to run a crappy AMD 2.8GHZ with 512mb Ram. Now I'm running 2GB ram, with 512mb vcard and a dual-core processor. So I just love to watch grenades blow guns 10 feet in the air as you blast someone. Its the only way to play :-)
ps- doing the young ones CAN lead to some problems, your very smart ScKoarn, best to stick to banging the grown folk :)
I just meant younger as in less experianced with gaming. I know I am at the minimun age for joining.
I have a flu today so I plan on being at my desk for the next 12 hours. x_x

Welcome Swift. I'm also a CS:S player nothing like shooting people. I also play Guild Wars and about to re activate Eve Online (whenever I get the chance). A bunch of us also get together and play paintball every so often. Nothing like shooting people in-game and in real life... muhahaha. Stress reliever at its best.
Shoot, I'm running P4 2.66, 1.5mb ram, 256mb vid and it's not the best but it's some what working... hahah. I plan to upgrade sometime in the near future.
Ack, the flu sucks my ass! Sorry to hear that bro.

Sounds like for what your using for computer for you've got a great system. Only reason I need the extra space in RAM and video memory is because I'm creating 3-axis drawings so I need the extra speed when I am rotating objects and loading updating from a spreadsheet. Guild Wars seems like a good game, its free per month isnt it? I have a 2 lvl 60's in WoW and a few 50+'s in multiple realms but WoW is too addictive and gets played out. Ya the flu sucks, my wife's son has been sick as a dog this week and has left me coughing my ass off aswell. Makes it hard for my brain to work with parametric formula's and angles of a triangle. But I hope to be able to get familiar with you all and look forward to fraggin and playing in games.
Also paintball sounds fun, I used to have a sweet semi-auto custom spyder but i grew out of paintball when my team split up as we grew into full-time jobs and bills to pay. But hell yeah, the whole idea of the clan meeting together and have some real interaction is brilliant. Again I look forward to everything GNG appears to offer and for what I may be able to offer to GNG.

Oh, goodness, no, but some of the guys here might like to make you think so. :) Basically, when you see us on the GNG counterstrike server, hop on and play. Show your personality and have some fun. Post on the forums, and let us get to know you. If you start playing Guild Wars, let us know your character name, and we'll help you out. (yes, it's free per month, and sometimes you can find the game and its expansions on sale for about 30$ a piece). It's ok if you play one game or 15, just let us get to know you.
And welcome.

welcome to boards swift. active participation on the boards is highly encouraged. From the look of things you sound like you would make a great recruit.
We are a pretty tight knit group here and only recruit on a request basis every few months but stick around and I'm sure you will fit in nicely.
We also have a vent channel and I think we would be more than happy to pass along the info if you dont already have it. Its a good way to get to know people and we use it for CS, Guild Wars, Eve, WOW and other general puposes.
btw: what other hobbies/interests do you have besides gaming?

Hey and welcome...again. Sounds like you've got a pretty cool job. Too bad you can't get the guys that build the damn things to make them flat and level. I'm in the tile and granite industry (mainly custom tile and stone installation), and recently dove into the world of fabricating stone counter tops. I'll be finishing a job here in a few days. I'm sure I'll post pics of it, as it's over $40,000 in tile, travertine and granite. (unfortunately most of that went to bailing out this co. I work(ed) for). I really love my job as well, as soon as I get back into it for myself. It's the praise...really. I do bad ass work though, so I can have a big head about it. (that's the only thing I'm arrogant about).
Seriously though, this is really like an on-line family to alot of us. I've been here since 2000, so these guys get to hear all my crap, and are kind enough to offer encouragement and advice to anyone that seeks it.
I also tend to have long winded posts..
I'm a VA transplant. I lived in Virginia Beach till I was 18, and moved to Pensacola, FL (the OG GNG-vill) I actually went to school and partied with the founders, (that makes me...[handicap] special). Anyway, I've been here for 17 years...and that would make me...alot older than I feel. I had a wife, and have a 3 year old daughter. She's awesome to the most supreme excellent way imaginable. I never wanted kids till I had one, now they're golden...kinda weird.
Sorry...I told you.
So, welcome, and hope you stick around so we can get to know you.

Middlefinger, how do you measure your counter-tops? My company sells a laser-product that will measure and draw the template of your counter-tops save as a dwg and you can load it to your software if you use any. www.rogershaw.com is where you can check it out. Its about $9000 but the ROI is worth it, your company will make its money back in labor costs and time that it takes to measure accuratly the counter-top depths, or heights, splash heights, offsets, whatever. this is the tool for counter-top workers. Check it out, its our laser product at www.rogershaw.com known as the LT-55
I sell those to mostly stone and carpenters that deal with counter-tops. So my friend, you're definately in the market for one of these. Lets see, ah yes children. I have a 3-year-old red-headed step-son. He is a good kid but he is bratty as hell too. But I gotta do whats best for him and his mother. Anyways i'll stick around a lot longer and play with you guys when I see ya online.
I want to be able to meet up for paintball and bust shots at yall's faces. My team was undefeated for a while until some assholes from Jersey flew down. Anyways yay, I'll talk later, my flu is kicking my ass and hearing a 3-year-old scream and make noises isnt helping.
PS- No Vent and No XFire, My PC is for work purposes only and by adding on all these game-mod's I might slow my performance or atleast piss off my boss. Xfire sounds like a good idea so I can track the games I play and what all my friends and you guys play, but for the time being I am not going to install either, maybe xfire before Vent. I do not have a microphone connected to this PC.

Swift828

thats not cool, i always thought xfire was sweet because if your real nerdy, and play WoW all fucking day, it records how many hours you've spent online. LoL. I thought that was kind of clever. But I think If your going to be just using it for Steam, the new Steam Friends pallette seems to work pretty well, feel free to HolLllla at me on that, my email is kronicrip828@hotmail.com
I'm feeling so sick, I'll be off work and on CS:S all day, but it doesnt seem if the GNG server works, where else does everyone play? I'll be at The Elders | server

shouldnt take much of your resources at all
Swift828
03-08-2007, 05:48 PM
would it still even be necessary if I do not have a microphone?
MiddleFinger
03-08-2007, 11:38 PM
Well, up until yesterday, we did everything by hand. It was a tiny company. All fabrication was done by hand. Which was cool with us because a CNC doesn't get as good a polish. It doesn't matter any more, as there is no company any more. I like doing tile so much better than fabrication anyway. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Well that wouldnt be too diffucult to do since I visit Tampa and Jacksonville every few times a year. Not too sure where Pensacola is in relation to Jacksonville but Duval County's only like 6hours away. I also goto St.Augustine for the BMW Bike Ralley's they hold at the US Army Camp. I'll have to come down and shoot you guys up in some paintball or something over the summer.
