Anyone know a way to relate the =DEGREES function to another form? My software isnt reconizing the excel command for transforming a formula into a degree. For example I am converting the value of tan(5/34) to a degree which in excel would look like =DEGREES(TAN(5/34)) equalling 8.48712.
Is there any other type of formula or function that will convert that decimal into a degree/angle? Possible using ArcTan or ArcSin? I am not too sure, any information on this would help. Thank you

Excel's charging $2/min for assistance. All I really need is a math-wiz to tell me another formula to convert a decimal into a degree. My company's tech support is busy with customer's and no one in the www.ExcelForum.com is offering any useful information. If you guys have any clue you'd save me a load of time. Thanks!
ps- fuck daylights savings.

Jesus I figured it out okay? =asin(b/c)*180/pi and =acos(a/c)*180/pi
That was the million dollar excel question of the day folks

math hard. I just shoot video. The hardest thing I have to do is figure out adding time to codes together.

Well it took some research but with the relationship of
360degrees=2*pi radians
i could easily figure out the answer to my question. it just took a lot of grueling research in a math encyclopedia to find the answer. its 9:45pm now, been working since 9am. but im OFF now and its time to play some loud music, unwind on some grass, and start throwen flashbangs

Swift's from today.
I'm too tired to fuck with this and my calculator is out of batteries, but zero's calculator might be set to radians, which means what you are really getting is radians and you need to convert them to degrees (multiply the radian by 180/pi). SOHCAHTOA should be giving you the right answer...

i dont have anything after basic algebra and geometry. I always did well in geormetry. Algebra bored me.
In college I bypassed math all toghether and took upper level logc courses instead. Basically its the match of language, more specifically the math of reason.
Quanatative symobic logic was a bitch.
I think I would have been more interested in math if I had been introduced to logic first.
Physics fascinates me but I have no understanding of the math behind it to understand it in a pure sense.

WHen I say basic...I mean like, the most I have to do is figure out square footage of an odd shaped room from time to time.
