being a heavy marijuana user myself, I am greatly offended by this article. The fact is that this woman has a non-operatable tumor in her brain and that "weed" is helping soothe the pain and creating a non-existant appitite. For the federal government to override state law and say we are going to prosecute is bullshit. They need to legalize marijuana for medical uses and release all the prisoners that are facing time for possession of a harmless drug. It's upsetting to have to read about the Law enforcing something I love. So screw Uncle Sam, lets smoke a blunt.
Smoked out, choked out, blow another Ooooo Out.

I guess federal law rules over all... but this just doesnt make sense to me...
"The Supreme Court ruled against Raich two years ago, saying that medical marijuana users and their suppliers could be prosecuted for breaching federal drug laws even if they lived in a state such as California where medical pot is legal. "
as I was going to say, marijuana is LEGAL for medical use in California, so whats the issue? If the law is obsolete because of Federal law, then why even pass the state law in the first place?
So basically this article says, screw the dying woman, KEEP THE DRUGGY MEXICANS OUT OF AMERICA!! YEA!!! -_-

Get enough states to pass it then the feds will be pressured to legalize it.

fed law overrules state law.
whether you believe its something that should be allowed or not... it doesnt matter. its law. you're at your own risk if you want to disobey it.
cali politicians obviously just wanted to say fuck you to the repubs and g dub in office... they wanted a showdown on the weed issue... and now they have it... at that woman's expense.

Well there's the problem... dont get me started on politics, but it comes down to the people of CA passed the law so people like this lady could LIVE.. but the federal law is what is killing her... great.
I see marijuana one day being legalized in the US of A. We may not see it in our lifetime, but it will more than likely happen some time in he future. Basically we're going through the prohibition period with Marijuana, as we once did with alcohol.

yeah i can see weed become legal in the future sometime...
and i can see cali politicians saying fuck it... if we have to have guinea pigs in order to push our agenda, so be it.
basically i think they wanted to be AMERICAN and push the envelope a little bit. its very complex because people's lives are at stake but i think its for the good of our country. you've got to be able to challenge authority every once in a while.

By what I've seen it'll always be illegal, it isn't a sign that its bad... thats just propaganda. There are reasons they don't want it here, the same reason our measurment system is different, we drive on the wrong side of the road, and most people think iraq is next to greenland. (Atleast thats what I've seen of the whole ordeal).
