An interesting part of Lord of the Rings online, the monster play mode. I spent some time last night playing this mode. I picked a spider to play, and started out in the brand new world. Untouched by player characters, this little land only contains NPC's of each of the player races. I am not sure but to get to the area as a character, you have to be level 30+.
Monsters start out at level 50 and there are all sorts of quests for you to complete to inprove your monster, one way or another, through destiny points. You can use your destiny points to purchase new skills and other stuff.
In the two hours of monster play I was able to tour what seems to be the PvP area for the map. Not sure if, as a monster, I can leave this area, but it will be fun checking that out. Also, while wondering, of course, I killed lots of elf, hobbit and human NPC. Oh what fun, with hobbit legs and feet droping off here and there.
Definitly a different twist to game play, I can hardly wait till player characters are level enough to make it to this area.
