Google is offering a street-level view (http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/004503.html) in its map application. This is in addition to the map, satellite, and hybrid views. Only a few cities such as Denver, Vegas, San Francisco and Miami are available at this time.
This is mostly a catch-up to Microsoft's Live Local. I seem to remember another major map site having a street-level view, but I can't find it.
For those who haven't been following, all of the major map sites (local.live/ maps.live, google maps, yahoo maps, aaa.com, etc) all offer an additional button for Traffic. Coverage is spotty, but for those living in a covered area, just find site that works and give it a quick check before you leave for/ from work.
