well, im out of school for the summer. I was able to pull out an A and two B's this last quarter which keeps me on the deans list just barely. Ive been trying to find work these last couple of weeks and so far its going OK. I went to a machine shop i used to work for to see if i could get any work and i think i lucked out. This guy offered me a position programming his LARGE 5-axis CNC mill. Hes agreed to pay me $15/hour + overtime if need be. Hes also agreed to give me 25% of the profit for each piece i make. Im guessing that a very complex aluminum part could go for anything between 100-300 dollars a shot. hopefully this summer ill be able to bank which will help me buy an awesome computer.

My folks have decided to contribute $2000 for the computer fund and i would at least like to match that and get something fucking unreal. In the meantime ive still got my old piece of shit so if anyone wants to play some CS i am down for that. peace.

I think Maul needs a serious computer for school. He is in design school and a lot of the software programs require serious processors, video cards and tons of ram.

some video cards cost nearly 10g's , believe it or not :p

Good to hear it about the grades Maul, I did that this year and started making school my bitch again haha.

Oh and if you need customers for the custom milling, I know paintballers on this site: www.automags.org/forums love custom bodies made. Just an idea for you.

I am majoring in industrial design. most people dont know what that means so ill just say it here: Industrial designers design the look and feel of almost all objects. the latest and greatest cell phones and mp3 players and all that jazz are designed by my profession. we basically decide upon and design the style of almost everything.

Good money in ergonomics from what I've seen. Good luck and save that old 'rig! You never know what you'll need it for.
