Console Wars from a Different Perspective

Ars Technica takes a look (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070718-console-battle-royale-sizing-up-the-japanese-and-north-american-markets.html)at sales statistics of the three platforms and comes to the conclusion that the PS3 isn't doomed and may even surpass the 360.

I'd be more convinced if they used combined global sales (including Europe) graphs for all 3 platforms instead of breaking it out into separate graphs for Japanese and N. American markets.

I've actually been thinking about getting a PS3 recently, maybe towards Christmas time as a gift to myself. My brother has a 360 and wants me to get one so we can play some Live games together. I haven't decided between the two.


Who has which and what do you guys think?


I have a Wii and it's incredibly fun, but I think I am going to need a PS3 or 360 for some of those games that are gonna be coming out exclusively for those two systems.

I just read that Disgaea 3 will be a PS3 exclusive, which means I pretty much have to buy one now...

Killzone 2 will be an exclusive for PS3 too..along with a few more titles.

PS3 officially has my interest after spending a couple hours on gametrailers from E3 and this report.
