Keep an eye out for Jesus

There was a player on last night during gravel pit with the name Jesus.

He somehow clipped into the ground and placed a turret underground just outside the red base, so he, his dispenser, and a L3 turret was underground where it couldn't be destroyed, but it sure as hell could rape us coming out of our spawn.

There were no admins on at the time, so we couldn't get rid of him. The server crashed moments later (probably unrelated) but I just said fuck it and went to bed.

At any rate, I just wanted to let people know so they can keep an eye on this asshat, so he can be kicked/banned if he pulls this shit again.

That's a no-tolerance offense right there and he should be banned if he ever shows his face again. No reason to wait and see if he does it one more time. I had a pyro fall undergound on the same map and kill a lot of our team, but I don't think he meant to and he was kicked for it. For an engineer to start setting up shop though is pure intent to cheat.

I added him to the ban list last night after Thunder tried to kick him. So he shouldn't be back

I dont know if a ban is really necessary.. but it is just one person.

but in all fairness there is a problem with with TF2 and people falling through the floor. It usually only happens to me when I die though.

Think of if this happened to you. Would you

A- think it was kind of funny and may even try to continue killing people from your new found location?

or

B- realize that what you would be doing would be considered exploiting and kill yourself immediately so you can start back over where you are suppose to?

I leave this more as a rhetorical question rather than do I really expect (or want to hear) anyones answer on it... but just think that you probably banned some one for just having a little fun with a "bug" in the game. Now if some one said something to him about it and he just laughed and said F you or whatever then thats a totally different story. But it seems like banning the guy is a bit extreme imo.

also... if anyone sees someone hacking... i forget the command but try and get their steam id....

its vital in order to ban...

If you type "status" in the console it comes up with everyone's steam ID.

Actually it's pretty easy to scan the logs. All I need is their name, and the date and time range so I know which logs to pull, and I can get the steam id from the logs with 1 command. That's how I got Jesus's steam id. So if you didn't catch their steam id in time don't panic, just get an accurate spelling of their in-game name and I should be able to get the rest.
