What will they think of next?

Using computer-controlled, electronic ignitions instead of mechanical percussion primers allows this new weapons system to load projectiles end-to-end, eliminate shell casings and dramatically accelerates the fire rate up to 1 million rounds per minute.

I'd just fucking put on a US Army disguise, put my sapper to it and blow it up! TF2 FTW!

They've had them all over youtube... they have a design for a handheld handgun with the same design.. Its oddly lethal.

Watching things like make me a bit worried because you know whatever it is that they are showing you now is "old technology" - ie... this is the stuff that they are letting the public see. What's the stuff that they wont let you see yet?

Tuck, I'd guess the 1M rounds/ minute isn't necessarily anti-personnel. During WW2 the Germans used a 1K/minute design and thought it was too impractical because it wasted ammo.

I think a 1M rate would be used to create an anti-missile shield for a boat or bomber or something. Or you could deploy a few of these in a perimeter as automated sentry guns as shielding devices for RPGs and the like since they have such wide range of motion.
