OK
So with my job comes to responisibitly, or annoyance of dealing with state a federal garnishments for things like child support, unpaid taxes etc.
I get a lot of them, people who dont pay their car tax or child support, i get the joy of doing it for them by docking their pay.

SO every month i gather all the ones that came in the mail and process them to see if the people still work for us or not, etc.

So im doing this now
and i just opened one for an ex-employee for 120.00 dolars due for LIBRARY FINES

I have to waste 15 mins of my time filling this stupid sheet out and faxing it up for fuckin library fines! what the fuck is this bull shit!

I had a bullshit academic misconduct charge placed against me and my appeal to the Dean failed, although he took off the requirement that I attend an "Ethics seminar" as one of the punishments. But I get zeros on the assignments and a disciplinary warning which any company that does a background check on me will see. Consequently it looks as if I'm about to fail my Physics class, I'll probably eek out a D in another one, a C in Spanish and Bs in my other two. In other words, my GPA is about to take a big hit and I may graduate later than I hoped.

So yeah, I'm hating this school and life at the moment. What's crazy is I was so happy at the beginning of the semester because everything was going my way, but it all just fell apart on me towards mid term and has been on a downward spiral ever since. It's been a couple of years since life has given me a swift kick in the ass though and I halfway expected something bad to happen. Maybe I jinxed myself by thinking thoughts like that.

Not to mention, I'm flat fucking broke with no girlfriend, and I injured my knees and can't wrestle. Team Fortress and my PS2 are the only things sustaining me. :/

when I first started in finance I was on the bank side and I had to deal with irrate clients who would raise hell that the government had garnished their accounts.

They always acted like they didnt know they owed money in child support or back taxes etc. Bullshit! You know they got a billion notices.
And then they would act like we had not right to allow them to do it.

....buuttt yeaahh I typically love this time of the year too, Sylver. I'm sure I will once Thanksgiving passes. Just as of right now all of my co-workers have taken the week off, and not enough civil servants - so I'm picking up the slack. I would take time off myself but I already used all of my vacation days for the rest of the year. I'm hoping it will calm down like it usually does in a few weeks or so...

being there is already a post here for this, I'll just add my story for today.

Tell me why it is necessary for two people who share the same office to have 'shared folders' set up on their computer for one another? Is there really THAT much document data that they need to share with one another that they cant just put it on a flash drive? (which we have supplied both of them with) and hand it to the other person? ....

not to mention at my work I'm pretty sure they have said no peer-to-peer sharing over the network and of course me explaining that to the custmer isnt working at all. She is just going to whine and bitch until she finally gets her way one way or another

Also they want the shares done between two Mac's, which is so insecure its not even funny...

see if we were a small company where you could trust all of the people who were on your network.. that would be a different story

but we always have people trying to hack our system or people who can VPN using wireless, etc etc. It just creates a huge network security risk being the only level of defense after that point is cracking the password I have to set on the file(s) themselves.

Sharing is definitely benificial... but come on now... take the two extra seconds to put it on a drive and hand it to the person next to you instead of putting me and my job at risk you lazy mothafucka's.
