good find...
never would have thought people play scouts as much as they do... its not a popular choice on our servers...
also never would have thought people play gravel pit as much as they do...
dustbowl to me will NEVER get boring... it seems to me the most widely played map but its ranked 4th or some shit...
thats pretty cool, I like both Grav and Dust, I think both are very good and challenging if u get a good oppsing team...
did NOT expect Medics to die so much... which means that setups to protect the medic is not good enough...
Also, did NOT expect the BLUE team to LOOSE so much on DustB... it isn't that hard, but once again defence organization is a lot easier... No?

Come on... you can always expect medics to go down first. This has been true for as long as I have been playing video games that include medics. This is especially true for shooters like this where the AI doesn't target you but other people do. I'm sure if you see a heavy/medic combo, you go for the medic first, don't you? There will be no way to "protect medics" to the point of their kill/death ratio being inline with everyone else without completely unbalancing some other part of the game. Face it, medics always die first.
The team that is on offense will always have a harder time. Defending has always been an easier, more favorable position. This has probably been true since the caveman days. I don't foresee blue starting to win Dustbowl too much.

Well, my whole point on the doctor's thing is that I don't go blindly rushing in even if I have a team mate and an Uber...
Usually before my uber's finished or if don't see enough of my guys around I head backwards to setup the next uber...
Medics are in many cases what wins the game... them being dead isn 't gonna win jack now are they?

I am not really sure what your point is. I'm not arguing medics usefulness.
You said:

I responded to that. Medics are the most targeted so, naturally, they will die more often than other classes. I am not really sure what "setup" would be good enough to "protect the medic" without completely unbalancing the game.

The only thing I've found to protect the medic is to intercept incoming fire as the "healee." I've been able to block shots as a heavy and keep the medic alive but thtas about it. Most other classes can't stand up to concetrated fire.

I never play the medic...but I do agree that if you don't have medics then you have the chips stacked against you.

The best way I found to keep the medics alive in TFC and then when I can get on TF2 was for them to not stand at any angle that my turret can see. But that goes for everyone but spys, nevermind.
