Tuck asked me to join your forum. Seeing as how I regularly get clocked by many of you on the GNG server, it seemed like a good idea to join.

I originally starting playing on the GNG server, because the consistently high quality of play. Now it's the only server I play on, because I enjoy the way Tuck gently encourages other players to do better.

Don't get me wrong, there are indeed good games being played occasionally. But there are times when I get so frustrated because the game goes 3-0 that I leave.

Thanks for the warm welcome. BTW, I was just checking out the GNG server stats for the first time and was pleased to see that I rank #16 on the "Most Deaths" chart. Which leads me to say....I agree with you Siras, the teams do get a little unbalanced at times:badgrin:

Bad grammar aside, it is unbalanced sometimes but no one likes being on a team where the medics charges the enemy team with a fully charged uber and a needle gun...

I know what you're getting at Siras, and as of this week I've been doing my best to join the weakest team to help balance things out a bit. I recommend more people do that, then we will have more truly epic games.

But even at its worst, I find FAR fewer really dumb people even on the weak team than on 90% of other server's I have played on. So I never have felt too much frustration because even if we get stomped, we still tried and usually don't do too many dumb things. But I'm weird and enjoy losing to an extent :P. However yeah after getting dominated across 3 different maps it gets old so I definitely understand where you are coming from.


The moral of the story: lets try to keep teams balanced. Most of us know our relative strength compared to other players (yeah I'm looking at you Bob Dole, quit your bonesaw hacks already) and can join the weaker team to help them out. I know I'll be trying to do so as much as I can.

The only method I use to pick my team is:

Wait till Bob Dole picks a team...and then follow him.

Least that way I know the team will have 1 good medic =P

i join whatever team... usually red though cuz i like the color lol...

when i see the teams get uneven i switch... it might take me awhile sometimes to notice cuz im always pwning peoples...

i get FUCKING pissed when i see people not being curteous about that shit...

Bob Dole's become quite the spy lately... I fear him like I fear Thunder and Arkosis's back stabs.

LoL, sometimes I wait for a familar name to get on a team, other times I just click random...

But I've played my share of games with random Pubs and sometimes they co-operate and I can get some organization out of them... but it is seriously painful for me to play with people who don't know how to use uber...

I've also found that I'm a much better spy on non-gng servers. Our servers are utterly paranoid about spies. I've gone a whole map without a death as a spy on pub servers.

When you realise you're a good player, just join the team with the lowest score/player ratio... whatever you do, don't join tuck's team.

hahaha look at thunder being a pussay. just beacuse i blast everything i see with my firestick doesnt mean you shuold give up. our server willl help you become a better spy....
