So I saw a few of these on the internet and thought I could make one as a gift for my best friend. Took about a week of working on it a few minutes at a time after work or school (between studying for finals), and didn't cost that much since I used wood I had lying around.

The kit includes

A crowbar - inspired by the great Freeman, and because they never run out of bullets
A shotgun - because they are cool
A knife - for cutting things
A lighter - for making walking zombie torches
Some shotgun shells - for reloading the shotgun
A tiny hammer on a chain - for breaking the glass
and the Umbrella logo painted on, so it looks authentic.

What do ya think? I might make more, put a little more effort and time in them, and put them up on EBay and Craigslist...

I might have to buy one for angel. Although from watching her play Resident Evil her "zombie defense" is to scream, drop the controller and jump into my lap and bury her face. She's a good shot but her Ostrich strategy may be limited.

...scream, drop the controller and jump into my lap and bury her face.

She's got the same strategy as Tuck! He buries his face in a lap like a champion.

True. They might flip out when they find out the shells are empty, and the shotgun isn't real. hahaha

Does that mean I have to wrap them up again after opening them last night?

hahaha badass Phenix! Is it all really fake?

I would say an incendiary grenade would be good for the mass production versions. Who doesn't like seeing zombies explode THEN stumble around on fire.

PS: I spy a plethora of Miller Lite boxes in the side shot!

Shotgun is fake, painted with a matte black spray paint so it looks more realistic. Crowbar is real, knife is real, lighter is real, and shells are real (they are empty and I just re-crimped them with nothing inside.

Lysol - to keep the smell down/torch the zombies.
