Anime Help.

I had a ipod but I had problems with music purchased from the Itunes store so I went ahead and took back the ipod/got a new one. Well, that old Ipod I guess had the only copy of a anime I was watching, which I didn't ever figure out the name for.

I think it starts with a G, its a samurai anime series, this was episode one... and it ends with a guy holding one of those giant paddle swords since someone came in and challenged the dojo. The challenger had long hair, and the teacher was fat. The main character (i guess?) was fighting earlier, one his challenger was blind and when he fought he turned completely sideways and put his sword tip next to his foot/got in a odd position. The main character was a muscle bound guy and apparently a great fighter but only has 1 arm.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Series was super bloody, and a guy stabbed himself just to prove a point on why having students fight with real katana instead of wooden ones is stupid.

Can't say I remember that one. Was it actively being subbed, or has it been out for awhile and finished? Any chance you remember what group was subbing it?

Watched it multible times, didnt see a fansub group name, didnt see anything. It looked new tho, lots of effects and such, very good animation.

P.S .. The way I'm spelling mutible is making me cringe everytime I write it too, lol.

Found it, its called Shigurui.

Probably thought of the g in shigurui and thought it started with a G, lol.
