Everyone s interested in HD viewing these days and Slingbox customers are no exception. To satisfy their interest, the Echostar-owned (http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/87862) company has announced (http://www.informationweek.com/story/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=205208625&cid=RSSfeed_IWK_Internet) that they ll be releasing a new version of their set-top box which offers a full HD experience. The Slingbox PRO-HD has multiple integrated sets of audio-video inputs and outputs, including ATSC Tuner, S-video, composite video, component video, and analog or digital audio.
The new box will allow users to use their computer or their smartphones to control various devices, providing multi-channel audio and high-resolution video to television sets.
The HD version of the system is expected to be released this fall at an approximate price of $400. It will debut next week at CES in Vegas along with a new mobile version of Slingbox for BlackBerry phones.
