Hey whats up guys. Been playen on your server for a few months now and have gotten to know a good number of you guys. Ive been in a few clans in the past and was an admin on a server a while back but all the clans i have been in seem to turn sour. I dont want anything major, i dont play as much as some but play usually once a day. But anywayz just wanted to see what you guys would think of me joining. :eek:

I would like to get you into a little more time before I put you into a recruitment phase. I would like you to get comfortable with using the forums and the server in general. It would be nice of you to intermingle with all walks of life.

The GNG is not meant for everyone. We have 3 big guidlines before we initiate anything for someone looking to recruit.

1. You must be willing to be part of something huge. Involve yourself not only in the game, but the forums as well. We are a gaming community and not just a run of the mill clan.

2. GNG admission isnt always based on skill. Depending on how you act towards people in general and your not a complete douche is a good thing to watch out for.

3. Finally do you meet the age requirement. The GNG is an "Adult Gaming Guild" You MUST meet the proper age requirement before anything else is done. So if you would like post up in this specific thread a little something about yourself

The GNG CounterStrike Division Leaders will keep your request in mind. Just adhere to what is said above and we may not have any problems.

Well thats cool guys. I have been playin on GNG since Nebula and actually Sylvr started to play on the server. We found the GNG at a lan party at my house a while back. I am also 22 going on 23 this year. Forum talkin is no problem i would def. post on here cause i love forums lol. But ya thanks for the support Graffix i guess your pretty cool yourself too :lol: hehe jk. I am not the most skilled player but i am a veteran. I have been playin CS since the damn colt had a scope and there was only a handfull of maps. Also i dont want to be in a run of the mill clan so that works out very well also. I just have wanted to find a server that has good people (GNG Def. has that) and a good server that which you guys have also. But thanks for the consideration guys. Maybe ill get to be a part of your clan someday :biggrin:

There is a version of Seige that is out there, but its not well done.

No VIP maps are currently made yet. Trust me I have looked.

All the Militia maps out there are either:

A. Shitty Looking

or

B. The Hostages dont work

Also de_Foption is deffinately one of my old school favs. I am hoping someone makes that map soon.

I've frickin fallen in love with that GlassTrap map. Holy crap is that some good fun. It's another deathmatch style map so I know some of you won't like it but I enjoy them simply for the fact it helps me get used taking on 2-4 people at one time. I'm getting to the point on a couple of the german servers that I can usually come out of a 2 on 1 with 80% health. I've taken 4 at one time maybe 3 times but I was below 10 health afterwards.

Has anyone else played Glasstrap?

Glasstrap is crazy man. I've played before and tried to practice with bots but for some reason, the bots won't show up on that map. But there's like eight different versions of it so maybe I gots a fucked up one. But its great to fuck around on.

I have a version of Seige....Its fuckin nice...But the only problem with the map itself is the fact....you go to the hostages..but then you jump on the beds in the one hostage room to get out through the vent like in the old school map and you get stuck on the Beds...and you cant get off...till someone kills you or you TK yourself.

Damn that glass map sounds interesting i would like to see that. Also i remember this map from way called Tennis i belive. There was a big glass wall in between each team and all you could do was throw nades...it was fun as hell. Also jeepathon was the shiet i loved that map the jeeps were a source of major fun lol. Just ramping them off things or running people over. To many people would snipe though lol. I think it would be cool as hell for GNG to run some good ol school maps in the normal rotation. Like i said though that assualt map you had on the other night Live was nice as hell very good quality :surprised

Is assault the one where the ct's have to rescue the hosties out of the warehouse? If so, I like that map but it's such a pain in the ass.

Like I said on Assault one night to people complaining about it being hard. Im not going to lie at all. Assault is a Terrorist biased map, but if you can get into the warehouse as a CT with more than 2 people you can take that bitch over. After I said that on the server the CT started raging for about 6 rounds.

Assault is a learning map as well. It teaches you how to sneak into places, shoot long distances, and watch out for multiple positions.

It's like an offense/defense map. That's why I think it's fun. I like being on CT if I have a descent team, trying to sneak in is the best part. I played it in the past and my team basically ran in blind folded. It's more of a strategic map. Might be good for practice with teams for GNG. heh

Assault is one the best maps that can be played for practice. (along with Italy and Backalley) The require teamwork from both sides due to the multiple aproach routes and various defensive positions. I've said before that most of the old OGL team could easily spend an hour teaching everyone how to play Italy correctly. I for one wouldn't mind doing some private practice sessions on Assault and Italy.

I remember a kickass bomb map that came out for original CS that was int eh snow and you had to plant the bomb at a downed plane or truck....i believe it was called snow? Now that was a fun map also. Oilrig was fun, im trying to remmber wasnt there anouther VIP map?

The old CS had a handful of VIP maps. Only two were really played alot.

One of those maps were Oilrig and the other was Hunted

Snk the map your thinking of is de_Survivor. That map fucking rocked. We used to have it in rotation on the old 1.3-1.5 server. It was made by 3D_Mike. Had two bombsites. One was a downed plane near CT spawn and the other was a Big Rig sitting in the middle of an open area. That was one of the first maps where you could shoot ice out from underneath people and watch them drown.

Which map had a plane and the CT's had to rescue the hosties? The plane was like a 747 and had multiple levels. I enjoyed that map as well.

That map was cs_747 which was also a creation of 3D_Mike.

CT spawn was inside of an airport and T spawn was inside the 747.

Im waiting for a remake of de_vegas. I could make love to that map for hours. If Valve ever made a vegas map I would call in sick to work and play that shit all day long the day it came out.

Neverwinter nights... Think that was the name of it, had the "Wheater outsides delightful" song playing on it.. Plus the OLD SCHOOL Playground.. When you started the A Team theme played every round..

Yeah I remember the map you guys are talking about. cs_winternights.

That map was awesome as shit too. You would rush into where the hostages were and it was a two story diner. The down stairs had the radio playing a Bing Crosby Christmas song. Every Winter/Christmas we would put the map into rotation.

The old school Playground was fun just because you knew Billy was coming after you when you hear the A team Song. He would always immediately after spawn shoot the door of the A team van and rush into the fray with his theme song in the background. I got lucky on that map because it was a night map. So everything was all black. There was a glitch in my skybox for that map and it was daylight. So I could pick everyone off because I could see and they cant.

Speaking of holiday insipered maps, i used to looooove this map called Christmas Tree. It looked cheesy as hell but it was fun. It had a huge tree in the middle you could climb and had jeeps and other stuff to drive and even a hanglider lol. Now that was some fun shit. :lol:
