Server Mod

Anyone know if they are ever bring out a MOD for CS.S like 1.6 and back had? The mod where when the round was over it would show the best score and best damage dealt? I loved that mod i thought it was cool. :neutral:

I was on a server the other that had all the shit from unreal like"killing spree,
first blood, headshot, etc." it was pretty cool

We have the ability to upload sounds and etc into the server. I guess if you guys are interested we can upload those same sounds. At times it gets annoying, but at the same time its fun as shit.

I dont think there is a toggle command. I will talk to AR about it. I mentioned it awhile ago.

It would be great if there was for the fact if we got annoyed with the sounds (which I know I would after awhile) we could just turn them off. I'm sure there is a way to code one, perhaps. :neutral:

Hmmm

I enjoy these sounds to a certain extent...It is great to hear "God Like" or something of the sort when you are doing well (OR having sex, LOL @ Sammie.)... too many can be overbearing though for 2 reasons

1- I like to play stealthlike sometimes, I dont like not being able hear people coming at me because some one is pwning on the server. (or several people are) It can get almost as bad as some one mic spamming.

2- When you FIRST connect to a server, and do not have these sounds installed, it can be kind of gaye sitting there installing all of these sounds... some times I will quit my connection to a server because I am sitting there for 5+ minutes just downloading miscellaneous sounds.

of course #2 is only a one time issue, BUT... for the sake of possible new comers, they might feel the same way I do about downloading a bunch of sound files.

I agree with Neb, I play because I like the "tactical" aspect of CS. While it is fun at times the fact that there is no way to toggle those sounds on/off would probably deter me from playing CS. We have some sounds on there now, such as the llama sound when you llama someone and thats ok... but I dont want to have to listen to headshot and killing spree and all that other BS while I'm trying to play.

You can block if from your side by turning downloads off but then you can't get custom maps or see people's sprays.

I'd rather keep the sounds off the server. I don't care for them myself.

Ya i agree with most that the Unreal SFX are kinda gayzor hehe i mean its cool but only for the first 2 times you hear it :lol:
