Upcoming Medic Achievement List?

I stole these off some other boards, they say their not confirmed, but they look somewhat legit to me.

The pack of 36 new Achievements is aimed at players who use the Medic character. Valve has yet to confirm whether or not the list is accurate, but the included image (see above) appears to be legitimate.

You can view the full list of Achievement names, as well as most of their relevant descriptions, below:

• Assist Capturer- Helping while capturing
• Top Score Board - Leading the Score Board at the end of the game
• Syringe Scoot - Killing a Scout with the Syringe Gun
• Switch to Medic - Switching from another class to the Medic
• Simul Charge - (?)
• Setup Charge - Charging the Uber during Setup-Time
• Save Teammate - (?)
• Falling Teammate - Healing a falling teammate and securing him from death
• Rapide Charge - (?)
• Kill While Charged - Killing an enemy while Uber's ready
• Kill Healed Spy - Kill an enemy Spy, who just stole Heal from your team

From what I read the new medic stuff should come out in the next two months.


What I question is how the achievements will effect the game play. They are not just thinking to have the extra achievements show up on your steam id page but to unlock other weapons such as the Overhealer (medic health gun that letting you raise a teammates health to 200% vs the 150% of the current health gun however ubercharge is turned off on this gun).


My best understanding of this would be they are starting with the medic because of his team based approach to battle (second in that category would the engineer with his ability to provide health and ammo via the dispenser. Third would be the pyro with his ability to keep spies away from engineers equipment).

The goal for Valve will be to introduce new weapons that have advantages but on the same hand have a pretty significant disadvantage. Prime example is the Overhealer. You can heal teammates to higher health levels but it doesn't have the ability to ubercharge. What this gun will add is versatility to the game in general. For those occasions when you are mainly worried about keeping your fellow players healthy and not about the ubers. (Seriously how many times did you die at mid or below ubercharge)

I do applaud Valve for continuing to evolve the game play (like quick ubers before map starts and fixing the exploits of TFC). Valve has been talking about these new acheivements for months even pretty soon after the game release back last year, but they have always been slow to release the changes so I don't expect to see the medic acheivements anytime soon.
