I thought IHOP was a place for Pigs in Blankets, but Arkosis said I should check your forums, so I decided it was finally time to take that plunge.

Having read some of the posts here, now I think that Pigs in Blankets probably has all kinds of meanings here that I wouldn't usually think of, but also involve a lot of porking.

I'd also like to remind Arkosis that if you replace his idea of P with Porn it would also make for a great evening of entertainment.

Anyway, I've been playing on your server for a couple months. A GNG member recommended the server to me - I was his American history professor if you can believe that - and I've enjoyed the high amount of good gameplay and the low degree of asshattery.

So yes, I am a history professor (not tenure track, so I teach a couple courses here, a couple courses there) focusing on Modern Germany, but I teach whatever I can, which at this point includes Modern American and European history surveys and a seminar in European Diplomatic History. So if you ever get one of those whining Nazi wannabes, I'll be sure to shout at him in German, at which point he will get totally embarassed that he doesn't understand a word of the language he alleges to worship. I find it hillarious to hear people talk shit about how they belong to the master race when they can't even type English correctly, much less understand a word of German.

Currently I'm in Buffalo. Earlier I was in Vancouver and played DOD:S with the 1st CPB based out of Seattle, but my ping is way too high being on the other side of the continent and so I'm looking around for a new gaming home. Being in Buffalo isn't as bad as it seems - it is nice to know I can spend $150,000 and get a great house near my job as opposed to a 500 square foot studio 25 miles from anywhere.

Thanks for letting me play on your servers and I look forward to red hot ass raping pwnage from all the other regular players.

lol @ nimmy..

welcome to the forums Marzipan. Have you taught anything on Ancient Rome? Ancient Rome has always intrigued me. I try to watch anything on the History channel dealing with Ancient Rome. Also been watching the Rome series that HBO came out with a while back. It's a great series. I recommend to anyone that is interested in that sort of stuff.

Fuck off, he said history professor and I asked if he has taught anything on that subject... jesus.

I haven't taught anything ancient - my knowledge doesn't extend much past the Reformation. But being a "humanities" person means that there is the chance that I would have to teach, say, the Odessey or Plato or something along those lines. My knowledge of the classics and the Bible is actually shockingly poor and I'd love to teach a class like that if only to become literate in those areas.

So no, no Roman history for me, although I loved the miniseries too!

Welcome, Marzipan! (I feel obligated to include the "!" in your name)

From the sounds of it, you seem to be an FPS fan. Are you in to any other kinds of games by any chance? We play everywhere from the most simplistic flash game to the most complex MMO you can think of here. So its just interesting to see what peopel are in to
