The Washington Post blog (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/03/the_411_on_the_monaronadona_ex.html) gives a well-deserved back-pat to the very knowledgeable folks in our Security forum (http://www.thegng.org/forum/r20082590-MonaRonaDona-virus), who've been helping people remove the MonaRonaDona virus for the last few days. This one's a bit interesting: the virus in question makes as much noise as possible, embedding its name in every IE window -- making sure users do a Google search for removal. The top search result (or it used to be until our users got involved) was for a $39.90 piece of software that will only remove MonaRonaDona -- aka "extortionware."
