Descriptive Classifications of Intelligence Quotients

IQ Description % of Population
130+ Very superior - 2.2%
120-129 Superior - 6.7%
110-119 High average - 16.1%
90-109 Average - 50%
80-89 Low average - 16.1%
70-79 Borderline - 6.7%
Below 70 Extremely low - 2.2%

Googled it and got this info from:
http://www.audiblox.com/iq_scores.htm

Well, by definition the average IQ is 100 for the total population. Though, after quick research (aka google) I found this:

".. about 50% of the population have IQs between 89 and 111, and about 80% of the population have IQs ranging between 80 and 120, with 10% lying below 80, and 10% falling above 120."

Not 100% percent on the validity or accuracy of that information, but I'd like to think I'm part of the upper 10%. It's probably based off of old statistics, or there are a lot of dumb people throwing the curve..

I am sure you are up there in the top 10%

but, its also gotta be dumb people.

a collaboration of things I am sure... I for one believe tests are a bunch of bullshit in resembling some ones intelligence....

since when did intelligence become a reflection of memorization and not free thought?

...and yes, I understand these tests are suppose to reflect your thought process/problem solving... but really... a lot of it is like, how well do you know MATH, or how much about your language do you know?... bitch please.

Maybe. I actually scored 143 on one that they had on www.emode.com. It's supposed to be another creditable site/test. They have (or had, I haven't been there in a long time) some interesting personality tests as well, which are supposed to be approved or developed by people with PhD's..

Your IQ score is 122
http://i.emode.com/tests/uiq/images/processor2_s.gif (http://web.tickle.com/tests/uiq/payment.jsp)

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Precision Processor. This means you're exceptionally good at discovering quick solutions to problems, especially ones that involve math or logic. You're also resourceful and able to think on your feet. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

Anyone know how accurate this thing is? I would wager that a little more time spent on it would produce a better score. For some odd reason, I thought the time it took would be factored in. However, I'm pleasantly surprised with my score. I was fearing something much worse.

The first self test I took was from a book, dated 1957. At that time I was suprised at my score, of 132. Then when I did this one online and got one more point, I was again suprised that they would be so close.

These tests assume you have a basic knowlage and I think it is a test of how yo u use those basics. The problem I have with these tests is the laguage parts use words I dont use or know about. So in those cases I have to guess. The results are as good as guessing on a math question. (which I never have to do)

I think the tests show what area you are smart and how smart. This will all depend on your background, likes and dislikes.

Remember these things are just about how people think. It is not a test of character. If you think the score is too high, take a second, and look around you. Why are you, where you are? Because you are stupid?? Nope. You may do drugs to escape the stupidity around you.

Hope everyone had fun with it no mater :)
