Hey I need some help.

Guys,

at my teams website we are trying to show each other some cool screen shots. I'm using imageshack.us to transfer it so I can show it as an image, but, every time I try it, it turns up like with just a blank box with a file with an X through it on the top left. so, how can I make it turn into an actual image.

they may not allow linking

have you read the terms and conditions?

it might say you cant link from their site. in which case you will need to find a provider who does allow it.

well actually one other guy has been able to get an image on there, but mine always ends up not showing it so I juust put it like this

So you can just click & it goes to the image, this one is called the Matrix, check it out.

Best thing is to get your own host and learn Imagine Magik... but of course that cost money. :surprised

do you think maybe it is too big of a file, if so how can I minize it some?

resize it in a photoshop type program

often referred to as "resample"

Its a PNG file and its 400KB in size. Thats a little large. Save it as a medium quality jpg and it should be around 60-100KB in size. You can practice on this board by using the img tags.

ok, well i used microsoft works & it said it was invalid type.
I dont think I have too much else I can use, unless it is microsoft.
